Vanessa Rios y Valles first came to Santa Fe in 1989 to study theater at the College of Santa Fe. While remaining active in the local theater scene, she also worked as a Realtor for over 17 years, before taking on her current position at the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce. While working in real estate, she became increasingly concerned about Santa Fe's lack of affordable housing and eventually became disillusioned with selling real estate as she saw more and more people hopelessly priced out of the market. At the Chamber of Commerce she is passionate about supporting the people who live, work, and own businesses here in Santa Fe and believes that finding solutions to our affordable housing crisis is vital to maintaining the economic health of our entire community.
