Matthew Cox is a Principal Planner for Council Services at the City of Albuquerque. He is a high energy urban strategist who has experience in multiple geographies ranging from the Mountain West to Philadelphia to Ireland and Singapore. Currently his days are filled with policy creation for all 9 Councilors at the City of Albuquerque, as well as project management for a number of different capital outlay projects and just different tasks that come with working in a high paced municipal government culture. HE is constantly trying to find the medium between creating better pathways for housing creation, while also acknowledging the mistakes of urban planners in the past when it came to sacrificing quality of life for people in lower income classes.
