Heather is passionate about Santa Fe and its people. She feels blessed to work and live in a city with cultural diversity and a rich history. Heather is a dual Master's graduate from the University of Texas at Austin in Community & Regional Planning and Latin American Studies. She also has a Public Leadership Credential from Harvard University and is certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP). In her over 25-year career as a planner, she has worked in Colorado, New Mexico, and Florida. She also studied and worked in Peru, Guatemala, and various parts of Mexico and speaks Spanish fluently. Heather has had positions in all aspects of planning - long-range planning, economic development, development review, and historic preservation. Her parents are from southern New Mexico, and she has 3 children, all in college in Colorado and New Mexico.
