Amanda Bregel is passionate about political activism, exploring the world, and delicious food. Trained as an educator, Amanda spent a decade teaching high school English at a Title I school in rural North Carolina. She has held leadership positions in the local North Carolina Democratic Party and National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. Years of non-profit work led her to a new career in New Mexico at The Food Depot, Northern New Mexico’s Food Bank. There, she works to uplift the voices of her community and create a food secure future. She is guided by a strong belief in human rights, compassion, and equal opportunities for all people.
