My name is Amber Spellman. I am an Albuquerque native and a survivor of human trafficking. My journey through recovery has been slow and challenging. It's taken several years, but thanks to local agencies and the support of our New Mexican community, I've managed to earn my first college degree at CNM. My children and I currently live in a transitional housing program as I prepare to re-enter the workforce. Finding affordable, sustainable housing is next on my list in recovery. If I'm selected for the program, I will use the knowledge I gain to help others in our community reach their recovery goals
