Mara is a project manager at the Metropolitan Redevelopment Agency in Albuquerque, specializing in revitalization initiatives and boutique business grants. She has over seven years of economic development experience, having previously served as the Executive Director of Lovington Main Street, where she secured over $3 million in grant funding for her community. Mara founded the Local Innovators Institute in Lovington, which the USDA recognized for its impact on rural entrepreneurship. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Conservation and a Master’s in Public Administration and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Strategic Organization and Leadership Development.
