I am a registered nurse working in community health in Albuquerque. Originally from northeast Ohio, I have lived and worked all over the country. Each place and the people I’ve met have all contributed to my views on the power of community, and I strive to integrate these values into my life. Access to local and healthy foods, living in a city that prioritizes outdoor spaces and being walk- and bikeable, and ensuring healthcare access for underserved groups are all important to me. I want to see a future for this city that involves a tangible commitment to sustainability, livability, and housing access in the face of systemic inequities and the climate crisis. I hope to gain knowledge and skills for more enhanced advocacy from this fellowship, and enact change as I learn more about this vibrant Albuquerque community.
